ROYAL ACADEMY OF DANCE EXAMINATIONS
and results were received and distributed last week to those students
who took their grade examinations in December. Our entry included
ballet students from Primary, Grade One, Two, Three and Four.
Congratulations to all the students on their success. The students from
Grade One – Three were involved in the RAD’s brand new examination
Syllabus. The level of work required in the New Syllabus is more
difficult and we were pleased with our students’ results. The Royal
Academy of Dancing operates in over eighty countries and consequently
there is an international marking scheme. This is very different from
the marking scheme in the Canadian School System. If you would like to
know more about the new marking scheme, please do ask me. We have
recently submitted a smaller entry to the Royal Academy of Dance for
further examinations in the Spring Session involving Senior students and
students at the Pre-Primary/Primary levels. These are expected to take
place between April 2nd and May 16th.
