Former Principal Dancer, National Ballet of Canada

Ms. Kim was trained for 8 years at the National Ballet School in Toronto and danced for the National Ballet of Canada for 12 years.

Kim danced all of the major classical roles with that Company as Principal Dancer

Kim's repertoire includes: "Romeo and Juliet", "Giselle", "The Nutcracker", "The Sleeping Beauty"

 Kim is looking to give back to the community her knowledge to young aspiring dancers.

 

                                   DAN DURKSEN

Musical Director:  PIANO ACCOMPANIST

Mr. Durksen is a well known freelance musician, dance accompanist and choir master.

Specialties include Piano and Song

Mr. Durksen teaches privately and at the Western Conservatory of Music where his is an examiner

 

 

      

     

Ms. Hayley (Hayley Blyth)    

An award winning actor, singer and dancer with 17 years dance training. 

Originally from London, Ontario, having attained her RAD Advanced One Ballet examination at the Judith Coleman     Oxford School of Dance. 

Following in her idol, Gene Kelly's footsteps, her strong passion to become a triple threat performer earned her the role of "Anita" in the Grand Theatre's High School Project of West Side Story. 

Hayley went to Sheridan College performing in such musicals as Cabaret, Anything Goes, Carnival and Big Time Operator. 

Hayley received her Advanced Diploma in Music Theatre Performance in April 2010.             

She continues to work with top choreographers in the dance industry and is thrilled to pass on her knowledge to students. Ms. Hayley will be teaching Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop and Musical Theatre

 

Ms Danielle

Ms. Danielle will be teaching Junior Ballet. 

Danielle attended the Teacher's Course at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School   

RAD Teaching Certificate 

Certified Pilates Instructor

Ms. Danielle will be teaching Junior Ballet and Pilates.

Ms. Danielle will be teaching Pilates, she studied Pilates in Winnipeg

 

 

 

 

Ms. Julie

STAFF

The Ballet will be taught by Kim Lightheart, Danielle Davelaar and myself.   

Kim is a former Principal Ballerina of the National Ballet of Canada.  Prior to that time, she was a student for 8 years at the National Ballet School.   

 Danielle studied with us at our School.  She then attended the teacher training course at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School. 

Dan Durksen will continue as Musical Director.  

Again there will be Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical and Pilates. 

Ms. Hayley Blyth will teach the tap, jazz, hip hop and musical theatre. 

Danielle Davelaar will instruct the Pilates Classes. 

The Lyrical classes will be taught by Ms. Kim.
